My steak has a slight funk to it. Been in fridge for 8 days?

So.......... It doesn't smell completely rotten. It's still red, and it just has a "slight" funky smell to it. It has been in an vaccuum sealed freezer bag, but in the thawed in the fridge for 8 or 9 days. What do you think? Should I eat it? Would the heat make it all good? What would happen to me if it is bad?
