Does parking lot hawking annoy you and confound you?

I just don't understand the mentality behind it. You know those people that will cirlcle the lot forever to find the closest spot they can get, and ask you are you leaving or follow you in their car and then get mad if you say no or I'm on the far side of the lot. I thought the price of gas being the way it is and time being money and whatever would deter them to some degree but it seems that they are just in more abundance. I always find the most distant spot possible to park in, even if the whole lot is empty, because I like walking. I sip on my flask, smoke a cigarette or a J-Bone and just kick it on my walk to the store.
