Hereditary things? Will I get their problems?

My grandmother on my Mom's side has a-lot of problems (knee pains, feeling hot all the time, back pains, other illnesses) but my dad's side has a clean slate, in other words, they do not have a history of conditions. Because I am a guy, will i take after my dad's side? I hope i do.
