Do you have any recipie ideas?

i am having a christmas dinner with a couple of my friends, we have no idea what to cook. it's not really going to be a festive meal, just a time to spend together. We have a few boundaries. I'm a vegetarian. and my friend is a bit weary of vegetables. although she has recently got a lot better. :-) so there is an option there. we want to cook something really nice, but not overly complicated. we would also like it to look lovely and a little posh maybe.
